The inauguration of 166 CNG stations of 10 different CGD entities in 41 geographical areas across 14 states with an investment of Rs 400 crores will generate 1000 direct employment opportunities and incentivise the market for CNG vehicles.

The launch of 166 CNG stations across the country is a key step in expanding the availability of environment-friendly CNG to the transport sector, households, and industries in India. It'll incentivize the market for CNG vehicles and will have an exponential impact on manufacturing, skill development, and employment generation.

The Energy demand in India has grown by more than 60% since the year 2000. We have focused on promoting the usage of Natural Gas as a fuel feedstock across the country to increase the share of the primary energy mix from the current 6.3% to 15% by 2030 and move towards a gas-based economy.

Ujjwala is a great success! We had 14 crore gas connections in 2014 and today we have over 30 crore gas connections including 9 crore Ujjwala connections and now we are transitioning to the Solar Cooker!

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will succeed, including on energy, because India will succeed. And India needs to succeed for the SDGs to move forward.

The surge in energy prices poses significant near-term risks to global inflation and, if sustained, could also weigh on growth in energy-importing countries.

We will synergise infrastructure development projects from multiple ministries under one masterplan. We will be able to optimise different modes of logistics to reduce freight costs and increase competitiveness, drive investment and create millions of jobs.

I am confident that we are on our way to becoming a USD 5 trillion economy by 2024-25 and a USD 10 trillion by 2030, from the USD 2.7 trillion to USD 2.8 trillion economy of today.
