Minister Hardeep Singh Puri visited HPCL's Visakh Refinery

New Delhi: Hon'ble Hardeep Singh Puri Visited HPCL's Visakh refinery on Sunday June 12, 2022 where EIL is implementing the  refinery capacity expansion from 8.33 MMTPA to 15 MMTPA. HPCL Chairman and Managing Director, Director (Refinery) and EIL Director (Project) Welcomed honourable minister at Vizag Refinery. 

It will produce BS-VI compliant fuel, will have a higher crude to distillate yield & using highly efficient state of art technologies for improving refinery margins. 

Visakh is an ongoing project, with an objective to modernize and enhance the capacity of the Visakh Refinery from the present capacity of 8.3 MMTPA to 15.0 MMTPA.

The Project comprises of a new crude unit, Residue up-gradation facilities, revamp of MS and DHT block to produce BS-VI grade MS and HSD, augmentation of Utility systems, integrated effluent treatment system, Offsite facilities, Captive Power Plant along with grid connectivity and other associated facilities.

The cost of the project is estimated at Rs. 26264 crores.
