During 9 Years of Urban Transformation under the visionary leadership of PM Narendra Modi Ji, metro rail has emerged as the preferred, clean, sustainable, affordable, efficient & environment-friendly mode of daily urban commute.The metro rail journey, which began on 25 Dec 2002 in Delhi, covered only 4 cities till 2014. But with unprecedented thrust on urban mobility during 9 years of Modi Govt, a robust metro network of 872 kms is now operational in 20 cities. With another 1000 kms under construction.For me personally, metro rail has a special significance - my first visit out of Delhi as a minister on 5 Sept 2017 was for the inauguration of Lucknow Metro with UP CM Yogi Adityanath Ji & my senior colleague Sh Rajnath Singh Ji.
