News Services Division | Govt implementing all SDGs with vigour, commitments and dedication, says Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri

Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has expressed confidence that India will succeed in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. He said the government is implementing all the SDGs with vigour, commitments and dedication which will help in transformation of the country.

He was speaking during an event Smart Solutions Challenge and Inclusive Cities Awards 2022 in New Delhi today. Mr. Puri said SDGs reflect the philosophy which the Modi government already put in place since 2014. He said it is moving from Sarvodaya to Antyodaya to ensure the welfare of all the people in the country.

Highlighting the various initiatives of union government like PM Awaas Yojana, AMRUT Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, he said these initiatives brought paradigm shift in the approach toward national development. Emphasising on the role of technological solutions to address the challenges, the minister stressed on the need of a universal design of buildings to ensure easier accessibility for the disabled persons
