Republic World | ETEnergyworld Annual Gas Conclave: Oil minister Hardeep Singh Puri to address industry leaders

The ETEnergyworld Annual Gas Conclave & Awards 2022, the mega initiative of the Economic Times, will kickstart on Monday with participation from the who's who of the Indian and the global Oil & Gas industry, and the Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri addressing the industry leaders.

The two-day physical event, the largest such initiative on the Oil & Gas industry from the house of The Economic Times, is being held this year at The Taj Palace
Hotel over 5-6 December. 

The event is being organised by ET in partnership with AG&P, Shell, Pipeline Infrastructure Ltd, Tubacex, SENSIT Technologies, South Asia Gas Enterprise, Copperleaf, Seros Energy, GarudaUAV, Indian Gas Exchange, and Jyotech. It is a premium platform for the leaders of the industry to discuss and debate upon some of the most pressing challenges of the gas industry, share experiences from their domain.

The event comes at a time the government has taken major policy steps to boost the investor sentiment in the Oil & Gas industry to boost India's domestic production, bring pricing clarity and ensure energy access for the masses.  Puri, who is the Chief Guest at the Conclave, would set the tone of the discussion in his speech, kickstarting the inaugural session here in the presence of the top CEOs, policy makers, industry executives, public sector officials, researchers and other key stakeholders belonging to the gas industry.

Apart from Puri, the inaugural session would witness keynote addresses by Ashutosh Karnatak, Member, Petroleum & Natural Gas, APTEL and Former CMD, GAIL India; and R K Srivastava, Director (Exploration) and CMD (additional charge), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC).

The key highlights of the first day include Special Addresses by Vartika Shukla, CMD, Engineers India, and Rohit Pande, Country Manager, India, Copperleaf Technologies, apart from two Fireside Chats with Akhil Mehrotra, MD & CEO, Pipeline Infrastructure and D P Srivastava, Distinguished Fellow, Vivekananda International Foundation and Former Indian Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The first day of the event would also host four panel discussions on the topics - Driving Economic Growth and Energy Security via Gas amid Geopolitical Uncertainty, India’s Gas Infrastructure: Making the most of a $66 billion opportunity, City Gas Distribution: Ramping up Progress, and Accelerating India's E&P Potential: What does the Future Hold?.

Day 2 (6 December) would begin with a Guest of Honour Address by V K Saraswat, Member, Niti Aayog on Policy Prescriptions to turn India's dream to develop Hydrogen Economy a Reality, followed by three exclusive panel discussions on topics - Hydrogen in India’s Energy Mix: Getting to 5 MT by 2030; LNG Market Outlook - Time for Reassessment; and Decarbonising Hard to Abate Sectors: New Fuels, Old Aspirations. 

Other key highlights of the second day include individual presentations/addresses by Daniele Fogale, Director EMEA, SENSIT; Deepak Mehta, Head - Business Development, Indian Gas Exchange; and Anit Mishra, Vice President, GarudaUAV Soft Solutions.
