Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is Surpassing targets and achieving 12% Ethanol blending. PM Modi set a 10% target by Nov 2022, which was achieved 5 months early. A target of 20% by 2030 has been shifted to 2025. 10% blending saved ₹41,400cr on import bills, benefiting farmers by ₹42,500cr. While the Congress government did not even achieve the target set by itself, the fact that there was only 1.4% ethanol blending in 2014 is a testament to this.
