India Today | Delhi Metro Pink Line cuts route length and saves money

Connecting Majlis Park to Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus, Delhi Metro Corporations Pink Line takes off on March 14, 2018.

Line 7 of the country's largest metro network was flagged off by Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The 21.56 km stretch of the corridor is part of Phase 3 of the Delhi Metro has 12 metro stations.

With this, the Delhi Metro now has 185 metro stations over a stretch of 252 km.

Things you need to know about the Pink Line of Delhi Metro
All the stations on the pink line are provided with platform screen doors
Wider coaches on standard gauge bogies thus giving extra comfort and capacity
The stations are designed with provisions of water saving, energy conservation, waste management etc.
Seamless interchange facility at Rajouri Garden for Blue Line
Azadpur Metro will provide connection to Yellow Line
Netajij Subhash Place Metro Station will provide connection to Red Line
Smart Card users can avail a discount of 20 per cent during non-peak hours
